Fare thee well February...

Is it me or did the month of
February fly by?

I know, it's a short month to begin with.

I know, there's Groundhog Day, Valentine's Day,
President's Day and sometimes Mardi Gras to celebrate.
And let's not forget hubby's, son's,
son-in-law's AND nephew's bdays too.

But it just seems that 2011 is flying by
as if I were on the autobahn in a sports
car trying to see if I could make it up to
140 mph...
zzzzZZZZZOOOOoooommmmm

Can't wait to see if March
comes in like a lion and
goes out like a lamb.

Either way, the weather will get warmer
AND I will be in Key West in a few.
short weeks!

So looking forward to it!

Farewell February.

Mah wheels for the weekend...

Well, since I had my fender bender
my favorite set of wheels aka

is in getting repaired so it's back to

In the meantime, I had a choice
of wheels to 'test' out and I chose these...

not only are they (almost) polar opposites
but I thought it would be fun...
and it is...
just smaller.

Gotta jet, have some miles
(and smiles, doesn't it look like it's smiling????)
to put on this lil' thang!

Asking a favor...

If you have a few moments today and tomorrow,
I am asking for some prayers.

Hubby is having the first of two consecutive ketamine treatments
today.  First time the doctor has  done two in a row and for a longer
period of time.  Each procedure has risks.

Thanks all, I will keep you in my prayers as well.

Here's a link that tells you about the treatments if you are so interested...

Weekend wonders....

Had the great fortune to head to the
Please Touch Museum, or as Aunt Barb
refers to it as the Please Touch Me Museum!
HAHAHAHAHA, ROFLMAO, LOL

Oops, I digressed...
with the boys on Saturday.  What a
great venue!  Now located in Memorial Hall
in Fairmount Park, there's tons of space for
the kiddies to run around and touch all things
imaginable (except me).

Can't wait to bring my own little one there
when he gets of age...so much to see, do and
touch!

An Alice in Wonderland exhibit, complete with a grass hedge maze!

A garage with a car to fix as well as a real
Scion to pump up with gas.  Boys love this section.

Our own Statue of Liberty arm & flame
made from all sorts of scrap!

A water park where the kids can move water, make waves,
take boats in levies and splash up a storm!

A carousel ride with beautiful horses, cats, frogs,
lions and tigers but no bears to ride!

Check out the cherub you have watching over you
as you go round and round.

And one of the beautiful scenes depicted on the interior walls of the carousel.

Plenty of action things for you to pedal
and make the wheels above spin....

or become a gerbil and run your little
feet off in a gerbil wheel!

An outer space room where the kids can build foam rockets
and launch them off with pressurized gas

and watch them ZOOOM
off into the planets....
(or your head if you don't watch out!)

Best to keep your eyes on the kids launching rockets
and stop looking up at the planets!

We had a F-U-N day!

An old man once said...

"There comes a time in life,
when  you walk away from all the drama
and all the people who create it.

You surround yourself with people
who make you laugh,
forget about the bad,
and focus on the good.

So, love the people who treat you right.
Pray for the ones that don't.

Life is too short to be anything but happy.

Falling down is part of life,
getting back up is living life."

Guess I'll pick myself up, brush myself off and Pray!

Thanks for stopping by & please feel free to check out my other posts...

Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse...

SURPRISE!
I told you I had to enjoy the good times when I can
because Good Luck is not usually in my cards.

The day started off okay.
I was running early into work.
Traffic was unusually light.
Traffic lights were my friend
turning green as I approached or
just waiting to get thru ONE light...
So unusual...
So different...
So NOT typical morning commute.

I should have suspected it.
I knew it was too good to be true.
Running early,
Light traffic,
Green lights.
and then it happened...

The car accident. :(

Oh, I've been in accidents before
but never as the person CAUSING it.

OMG, I can't tell you how
sorry,
stupid,
pissed,
idiotic,
I feel.
GEEZ, such a knucklehead!

I do so hope my day gets better and
I so wish you a better Friday than I've had
so far.

GRAY SKIES ARE GONNA CLEAR UP...

Imagine my surprise when I arrived home
from work yesterday to find a decorated
box full of the Cooking Channel gifts!

Not only was I lucky this week,
hubby was too!

He went to the Philadelphia Home Show
and entered to win something from the
Food Network.  Lo and behold, he won
the Prize Pack that included the following;
      • Giada at Home cookbook
      • Barefoot Contessa cookbook
      • Food Network Journal
      • Oven Mitt
      • Timer
      • Ice Cream Scoop <--Hubby's favorite item in the whole kit
      • Peeler
      • Grater
      • Grocery Bag
      • Lunch Tote <- think this was missing and replaced with
      • Three spices and
      • Cooking Channel Apron
All displayed in a wonderful box shaped like
a treasure chest.

If you look closely, you'll see the 'iLean' shelves, that my regular readers will recall,
I recently won from HGTV (my favorite TV channel!)
If you look even closer, MK's picture is on the middle shelf! ROFLMAO

My goodness, luck like this has never happened
to us... I feel so blessed.   It's nice to win...
Told hubby to go get a lottery ticket and hope
that our lucky streak continues!

Why I am breaking out into song,
"Gray skies are gonna clear up,
Put on a happy face;
Brush off the clouds and cheer up,
Put on a happy face..."

May the good fortune I have found rub off to each of you, my faithful readers!  Just had to share this fantabulous news!  Someone, please slap me so I know it's not a dream.

How lucky am I?

My Monday didn't start out so hot,
loooonnnnngggg commute for the
9 short miles from home to office!
Everywhere I turned,
traffic was at a standstill.

Well good news arrived mid-afternoon!
YAY!!!!!!!!

I just won another drawing!
This is NOT my usual luck.
I need someone to slap me
and wake me up, tell me this is a GOOD thing!

So excited to have won AGAIN!
This time, I won a $100 Gift Card
to Proflowers.com!

Just in time to treat me
(and my mom) to a special
Valentine's Day floral arrangements!

Was just saying to hubby not to get
flowers or candy for VDay, such a waste.
I don't want to splurge on flowers since
they die so quickly.  If he buys me something,
I'd prefer plants that will last much longer.

So now you understand my level
of excitement to be able to buy
flowers for me and my lovely mom!
I <3 her very much and she'll be so surprised!

They say the eyes...

...are the windows to your soul.

Hmmm.... how soulful am I?

(this one's (or these two are, as the case may be) for you)

YAY, Spring is on it's way, so Punxsutawney Phil says.

So the little guy didn't see his shadow.
Comes as no surprise since we've not
seen the sunshine for a week!

Everything is gray and white and
we have been blanketed with ice
here in the Northeast.

Here's a few pix from this morning's
commute into work.  The trees are
beautiful, glistening with ice.

Still I'd enjoy seeing the crocus peak
out from the ground to announce
the true arrival of Spring.
Enjoy the pix!

and a very Happy Birthday to my youngest!

Ta Ta To January 2011 - You sure flew by

It's February 2011 already.
Where did January go to?
It all seems like a blur to me.
Well, it all looks like a WHITE blur to me
if you count the weeks I was home v.
the weeks away working....

Tomorrow is February 2nd,
aka Ground Hog Day.

Punxsutawney Phil will come out of his hole
and based on whether he sees his shadow or not,
will predict if we have 6 more weeks
of Winter.

Don't know about you, but I am ready
for Spring!

Twenty-four years ago tomorrow,
I gave birth to my own little Ground Hog,
the second most famous Ground Hog in Pennsylvania!
And I've been watching his shadow ever since.

Happy Birthday Andrew!
