Confirmation of faith...

Today, I will stand as Sponsor for my nephew
as he is confirmed in our Roman Catholic faith.

I am honored he chose me to sponsor him and
look forward to the ceremony in a few hours.

I have had challenges, some I consider GREAT
challenges, and if I had not had my faith to help
me endure the challenges, my inner soul may
have broken with the weight of those crosses.

I hope that the Lord, Jesus Christ, and the
Holy Spirit enter into Joey's heart and soul and
sustain him throughout his life to be able to
withstand the tough challenges ahead he may face.

In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy
Spirit....AMEN!

I may post pix later as this will surely PLSOMF!

Here it is...

PLSOYF is officially done.... or is it?

HA!  Well in hindsight, I have to admit my PLSOYF exercise;
  • was successful
  • could have been more successful with more posts
  • most of my PLSOMF's had to do with today's image, heavy Dylan, but heck, he PLSOMF!
  • was a great way to focus some energy during the Lenten season, especially with some of the challenges I had to face
  • may be continued but I will try to broaden my subjects (It will be hard so let me know if I should just let it come to an end until next year.)
I hope you have had a chance to enjoy some warm spring weather in your neck of the woods.  We've had some summer weather the past few days...oh no, I hope Spring has some time to hang around... I love the cool nights and warm (but not hot) days!

The long uphill battle begins...

Referring back to my post about the
St. Patty's Day occurance...

Now that we've crossed the threshold
of his life or death, we now begin the long
uphill (both ways) battle of freeing him of
his addiction.

It's not going to be easy and I don't
know if I am strong enough to make it
through this battle ahead.

He's not at the point where he realizes how
close he came to death.  Nor is he at a point
to be willing to do the 'right' thing.

You see, he got someone to bring drugs
to the hospital room and the staff caught
onto it and now have him under 24 hour
surveillance and only immediate family can
go into his room... oh Lord, please help.

I will ask you, as you sit down to
your Easter celebration(s) in the next week,

or your seder table and the following
seven nights of Passover celebration,

to keep him and my family
in your prayers for a full
recovery.

At this spring time of renewal
may he be reborn and be given
a fresh start.

Peace & heartfelt thanks this
Easter Season for your continued
prayers!

PLSOYF X

Hmmmm, I had a dilemma on which PLSOYF
I wanted to write about here today....but I decided to
go with the one that means something to me.

No picture(s) to attach but you'll get the gist
nonetheless.

My groundhog was moved from the CICU last night
to a regular room.  He will begin PT today to relearn
how to walk but he was able to hang feet and stand up
(with aid) and sit in a chair for a few hours.

He was not happy with the comfort of the chair
but they used a real meal (said with tongue in cheek)
as the incentive to have him sit up for two hours.

If this doesn't PLSOYF, what does?

We've come a long way...

Here's Friday.

We've come a long way but still have so much farther to go.

Keep those prayers coming and help us get out of the woods.

Thanks!

prayers welcomed

my youngest son is in critical condition
in th CICU and prayers are welcomed
to see him thru this diabetic complication.

Odds currently are greater he will not survive
but I saw him see another day on Earth today.

please say a prayer and ask a few friends to
pray as well.  Thanks.

PLSOYF IX

Well, if there's anything I like to do it's
to sit in a meeting from 8:30am til 4pm...
NOT!

Well, usually that's true but in the meeting I
just got out of, it was because of the
PLSOYF happening that starts officially
on Monday...

I recently accepted a new role at work
and the smile has not left my face since
I accepted!  You see, my dear, faithful readers,
I have been trying to get another role within
the organization.  I needed the challenge, I needed
to learn something new, I needed to G-R-O-W!

So excuse me while I have a little celebration.
You're MOST WELCOMED to join me...
Ready?
Really, are you ready?

Hip, Hip
.
.
.
HOORAY!

Hip, Hip,
.
.
.
HORRAY!

Hip, Hip,
.
.

HOORAY!

Now, to get ready for the little office
post-meeting gathering.

To tell you the truth, when I got it,
being new to the team,
I figured it was one of those
offers ya can't refuse!

Til my next post...
have a glorious day, night,
week, weekend....

PLSOYF VIII

It's been awhile since my last
PLSOYF post.  I've been busy.

Trip to Key West for the wedding
was glorious.  Sunny, clear blue skies
with temps in the high 80's & low 90's
gave me just the touch of summer I
needed after all the winter snow storms.

Here's a glimpse of some of the scenery...
ENJOY!  I did!

Congrats to the Bride & Groom,
May they live happily ever after.
