Thursday's Gonna Be a GOOD Day!

Working remotely,

Dylly's coming over.

So excited.

Doesn't get much better than this!

Ummm, well it could (if ya catch my drift) but I'm happy!

Bad Penny... oh no, not AGAIN!!!!

Ya know some folks just don't wanna give up.

I have this bad penny that keeps rearing it's ugly head.

How much longer will it continue to turn up?

That, my friends, is a great question.

Bad penny = fired employee.

It's been over 2 years since they were terminated.

Psycho employee (oops did I write that? thought I just thought it.... hehehe)

Keeps coming back and gets shot down each time.

All documentation shows termination warranted.

Now I get to go through it all over AGAIN

with Legal, AGAIN

with HR, AGAIN

It was P-A-I-N-F-U-L to live through the first time.

It was P-A-I-N-F-U-L to live through the second time.

And if past history serves as basis for future behavior,

It will be P-A-I-N-F-U-L to live through the third time,

however, they say the third time's the charm.

Third = FINAL

May it be their epitath...

One can only hope.

Blank mind, blank slate, blankety, blank, blank...

With this clean canvas to write about ANYTHING I want to, why is it I am having difficulty thinking of something (besides the new grandson) to write about?

 

 

 

Writer's block I guess.

 

Oh I know there's a plethora of topics from which to choose but somehow they all escape me.

• How/what am I feeling?
• What's happening now?
• What am I happy for?
• What am I longing for?
• How do birds know to fly away in a flock when startled and how is the leader determined?
• Is there a pecking order?
• How do those new electronic 'keys' work in the car when there is no key?
• A top ten list of just about any subject.

 

Oh there's tons of things to write about, but I just can't motivate myself to do so.  Something's missing.

 

I guess I'll chalk it up to writer's block and blankety, blank, blank!

Spending time...

bonding with the newly created family, Life is Good.

Lil one is absolutely beautiful,

absolutely no bias at all.

Really if you were to see him,

You'd be enamored and in awe.

I'm teaching my mommy skills,

to the next generation,

learned from my own mother,

not a moment's hesitation.

I love this new family,

more than words can express.

That I am able to be here,

hug, kiss, cuddle, caress.

After being sent home the previous night, 

Dylan entered this world with all his might.

Looks like our family is going to grow by 2 feet...

Got a call this morning from Rae,

Got excited and answered, horray!

The contractions have started,

She told me she farted,

Today may be THE day!

Seems the baby is making his move,

To come into this world really soon.

So excited, can't wait,

Watch out world, ain't it great!

I get to act like a lune.

Ah the pending arrival,

Makes me laugh, giggle and smile,

I get to be there,

See the birth of the heir,

God knows I've been waiting awhile!

May God bless him with a long, loving and healthy life!

and me too so I can play with him and love him to death!

Labor Day weekend 

Food choices galore

Could hardly believe it

Weighed the same, no MORE!

No less either but no MORE!

YUM & YAY.

And the winners are...

Me, Samsung & Sears! Win, win, win!

Stopped off at Sears on the way home Friday to check out the two brands I narrowed it down to; Sears' Kenmore Elite and Samsung.

Was able to get the #1 Washing Machine as declared by J.D. Power & Associates and the matching Dryer for what I consider a great price!  Samsung Steam models (both) for less than the cost of the Sears' Kenmore Elite non-steam versions.

Yeah, got the pedistals (which were $50 a piece cheaper than the Kenmore ones) and yeah, got the warranty on top of that too but negotiated that and was able to bring that price down by $170.  There's two 'after-sale' rebates I can apply for that will decrease the price of the washer by an additional $100 and the other will refund me the delivery & take away costs so they netted to zero.

Important thing is I think I got a good deal on a top of the line purchase... delivery is scheduled for Tuesday... watch out, you won't recognize me...I'll be wearing clean clothes!

Still, an expensive week nonetheless.

Which Washer & Dryer set should I get????

Who knew there were soooooo many choices out there and

how EXPENSIVE these machines have become over the

past few years?

OMG, we're talking $1800 for each piece...  $3600 for a set

and that doesn't include delivery, taxes & removal of old,

delapidated applicances.

Holy guacamole Batman, I feel like I'm going thru the wringer!

Good news is the holiday weekend is approaching and

appliance sales should be good. 

Doing research now on ratings, energy efficiency, reliability

and whatnot so I am armed as I approach the salesperson!

EEEE Gash, these things are expensive.  Any recommendations

would be greatly appreciated.

It's Wonderful Wednesday...aka Hump Day

YAY!  I made it through Monday and Tuesday.

Although I feel like I've been through the entire week already.

Great News about today though...

Absolutely no meetings on the calendar.
