Hope you can enjoy the Summer Solstice...
where ever you are. I, unfortunately, get to celebrate the longest day of the year with clouds and rain.
I always loved swimming, I was a life guard for three summers. One summer a friend and I restored a pale pink '57 Chevy. What a beauty, it was still in showroom condition having been stored in a garage by the owner. After he passed away, he was well into his 90s, his partner gave us the car. And of course girls. There was one girl, I had a terrible crush on her. She was the first girl I ever saw in a bikini, (this was in the 60s and considered very radical, hehe) and believe me when I say she filled it out *very* nicely. Years later I found out she married a Rabbi, go figure! Ah! So many wonderful memories. :-)
Thanks for sharing, glad to give you a chance to reminisce down memory lane and smile. Hope you have some more happy memories this summer too that you look back upon someday and say, "Ah! So many wonderful memories."
We are finally having summer weather here.. warm and in the 90's.. but people are still skiing at the resorts! Mother Nature is kinda fickle this year. Happy Summer To You!~
Now I can't get Hanna (bikini girl) out of my mind, thanks a lot Ming. I'm thinking of calling her to say "hi", but I'll have to do a little digging to find her since I haven't spoken to her in years.
I love the summer time. Reminds me of my mis-spent youth in the Catskills. Swimming, hiking, fishing, cars, pool, girls, fun. :-)
ReplyDeleteSummer is not my favorite time of the year... I sweat like a pig (even in my 'skinny' youth) and the humidity kills me.
ReplyDeleteI do have fond memories growing up having the summers off from school but I prefer the transition seasons with the cooler days and less humidity.
So do tell us MK... is that the order of memories from your mis-spent youth that you reminisce the most? Me thinks the order is juxtaposed... :)

Wow, warm and in the 90's. I'll say that's summer weather! Thanks for the wishes... back at you! :)

Well if she WAS as pretty as you say, that's not a BAD thing to have rolling through your mind, right MK?
ReplyDeleteOh you go ahead and dig a little, you shy man! HA! that's one for the books.
