Good news is...

I won another Halloween Contest! YAY!

Have no idea what the prize is but like 

I've said before, I am pretty easy to please

(pay no attention to my family, really, I AM!)

And now, the Bad (Sad) news...

He's back in!

I'm such a happy ghoul today!

Why? You may ask?

Well, that's simple enough.

After a great weekend,

mind you I am so easy to please.

'Great' in this weekend consisted of

sleeping in really late on Saturday and

chillaxing and Sunday, my daughter 

brought her son down and we went 

for a walk in the bright, fall sunshine.

Then a trip to Trader Joe's for some

yummo food!

See, who else would consider THAT 

a great weekend??????

Any who, back to why I am such a 

happy ghoul today....

It's amazing how quickly the air can go out of your balloon!

Ugh, just when I thought today was going well...

It's amazing how something can make your day
take a downturn.

I know, I know, it's my reaction to the news but
really... I am deflated!

Ugh, I wish I were independently wealthy!

I'm Gonna Hafta Say It Again... 3 Day Weekends ARE GREAT!

Shame they all can't be 3 days long, huh?

I had my grandson Saturday day and night
and Sunday til just after dinner.

He's started walking a few weeks ago so
he's still shaky when it comes to walking.
It was so lovely here in the NorthEast that
we went outside on the lawn in the bright,
warm sunshine to play.

Little bugger decided to broaden his horizons
and took to the pavement, which led to the
apron at the driveway (which is sloped down
to meet the street) and... I guess you can figure
out where this is leading to huh?

Little guy did a nose dive into the concrete apron
and got scratches, cut and a bump on the face.
Oh no, I knew his mommy was gonna be mad at me...
her hubby said if it were HIS mom or the babysitter,
she'd say, Never Again! but it's ok since it's her Mom???

Oh well, I am sure my Scrump-Dylly-icious will spend
more weekends with Nana and Pop Pop, regardless of
my bad babysitting!

Spent a wonderful Monday with no deadlines!  Oh my,
how great would it be if we didn't have to have deadlines
to meet?  We could just do things as needed, when needed!

Picked up my son and went out to late breakfast, diner style!
YUMMO!  Just what I was hankering for, Cinnamon Raisin Pancakes,
two eggs over easy and scrapple!

Took him back, went shopping and off to the salon to
be beautified!  Well, let's just say that's what they call it
but I sure do give them a run for their money!

Weather was in the mid 80's and bright sunshine!
Life can be good most days!
I like 3 Day Weekends, do you?

3 Day Weekends are GREAT!

I was supposed to be heading to Charlotte, NC,
for business on Monday so my chance to take
advantage of the last 'floating holiday' of the year
was null...

But just yesterday I found out I didn't have to go
so I cancelled my flight and hotel and lucky me...

I get to use a 'floating holiday' day and actually
have a 3 Day Weekend!  YAY!  Looking forward
to having the extra day off on Monday...

Now the dilemma, what will I do??????

In the word of one of my bloggin' buddies....

HOLY CRAP!

Geez, I am so busy at work between 

meetings, going in early and leaving late,

it totally slipped my mind that I had 

a teeth cleaning appointment after work tonight!

I get home at seven, tell the hubby I picked

up two hoagies 'cause I was hungry and he 

says, "Oh that's funny... you get your teeth 

cleaned and stop and pick up hoagies!"

Then I go, Holy Crap! 

(or words to that affect)

I forgot about my appointment!

I am so busy that my mind is like a 

saturated sponge... I'm telling you, 

dear readers, if my head weren't attached

I'd forget that TOO!

HOLY CRAP!

Begins with F and Ends with K...

Getchur minds outta the gutter...

it's Fire Truck and oh what a 

special little Firefighter I have.

We celebrated Dylan's first Birthday

yesterday with the extended family

and friends and their kids with a party

at the house.

Weather was perfect considering 

Mr. Weatherman predicted spotty

showers but we had bright sunshine 

so I could escape from the gazillion

little ones and sit out back and enjoy

the day with my family.

Whaddya think?  Is this the best little

Firefighter you've ever laid your eyes upon?

I think so!  Even to the end as he readied 

for night night.
